Yes Comments about this property A delightful oasis of calm, comfort and excellent food and service Tips for other travellers the walks in and around Bishops Castle are tremendous in the Shropshire Hills and if nothing else is achieved, the views are phenomenal as is the fresh air. Do visit the Museum on Crutches - what a delightful place and such charming volunteers that give all the history of this unique building, hidden among the little back streets of the Town. More the pity that only a small section of the wall of the Bishop's castle still survives as an open space/garden.

Booked a couple of weeks in advance for Birthday Party in Bishops Castle. Staff could'nt have been more friendly and helpful. Great room, great breakfast, easy parking and lovely pub. Some friends in adjacient room had not pre-booked breakfast (which you must do in advance) and as it was a Sunday the cafe up the road was not open. Owners offered to make breakfast for the 3 of them while they waited.

Reviewed yesterday Surprised us, Fantastic value for money and food is great The room was really lovely with great extras like a torch, bluetooth radio. Downside was the wifi didn't seem to work but we didn't tell anyone and I'm sure they would have tried to help. Staff were really friendly and breakfast was generous and tasty. Had a great sleep and loved our room (was in an old converted pig barn!) “A well run pub....” Reviewed yesterday NEW Had our Sunday lunch here whilst on a week's holiday in the area. Greeted as we entered by the very pleasant and efficient landlady. Good choice on the menu and the roast was served with a nice variety of vegetables which Lady Grumpy Old Devil was very happy with. An example of how to run a pub properly!
